Visited with friends, saw tons of museums, Stonehenge, Avebury, Bath, and Tintagel, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur. March 20, 2010 Hej! I'm in Umeå, Sweden. It's great to see my wife after almost 2 months of being 8000 miles apart. I'm continuing to work on the new script for Fotocomics Productions, seeking inspiration for Odin and Friends in the Viking homeland, and helping organize a science fiction film series at the university there. So far the people have been great and the weather has been lovely (a perfect mix of sun and snow). January 1, 2010 Back in Los Angeles full-time, helping with marketing work on Box of Shadows and writing a new horror/thriller script for Fotocomics Productions. Continuing to produce my webcomic, Odin and Friends, now at over 150 episodes! November 30, 2010 Wrote a novel in one month. Not saying it's a great novel (yet), but it's 50,000 words and it earned me a gold star from the kind folks at NaNoWriMo. November 1, 2010 Vigilante, a script I cowrote about guess what, just finished shooting in Los Angeles. October 1, 2009 Sucker, a short film I wrote and co-produced, was accepted into the Rhode Island International Horror Festival and the Vampire Film Festival in New Orleans. July 26, 2009 Finished two days of principal photography on Stabbin Cabin, a horror/comedy short starring Karl Hunter and Jessica Kinney, directed by Jeff McArthur, lensed by Douglas Miller, produced and written by Scott Svatos. July 23, 2009 Other than reports of a demonically possessed prop coffin, all reports are good from the set of Box of Shadows. June 26, 2009 Box of Shadows, a supernatural thriller I wrote with director Mauro Borrelli, starts shooting Monday, June 29. April 15, 2009 Fangoria Los Angeles starts this Friday. See you there! April 8, 2008 Lots of writing on both spec and contract: horror, gangster, and science fiction... almost in equal measure. February 28, 2008 Now and Nowhere, a film I worked on last winter, premiers at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, April 9-13th. February 1, 2008 I found out my dark drama Whiplash was a quarterfinalist in Zoetrope. January 11, 2008 Viking Doom finally has a website. Jan 5, 2008 Happy New Year! Filmmaker Bob Recon and I have returned from our Salton Sea New Year's trip, which also included a side journey to Anza-Borrego. Port Hueneme felt suprisingly warm after some chilly nights in the desert. We did not discover the elusive "mud pots" but we did find the "mud volcanoes" and attended several surreal parties at Slab City. And we only popped one tire! December 25, 2007 Santa treated me well this year with a nice balance of boring sock-and-sweater gifts and a exciting long-sought-after DVDs like Wassup Rockers and The Acid House. My wife and I spent Christmas Eve in Thousand Oaks before returning home and engaging in our annual Christmas Day tradition of locking the doors and watching endless movies. December 15, 2007 I just found out I'm a finalist for the Blue Cat Screenwriting Lab in Los Angeles for my script pitch "Cloud City." December 9, 2007 Filmmaker Bob Recon and I have confirmed the destination for the annual winter offroad excursion: The Salton Sea Mudpots. Recon plans to shoot footage for his latest documentary while I do my best to scald myself in hot mud. December 1, 2007 I was hired to write a new screenplay... a war-time horror script in the vein of Southern Comfort and Predator. Strictly non-union, of course. November 19, 2007 The horror western script is finally finished. So far, everyone who has read the script is loving it and hopefully someday you will too (when it's no longer a script, but a movie).
